Earlier this week the Los Angeles County Museum of Art acquired its first-ever piece of architecture: the John Lauren-designed Sheats-Goldstein House. The house, located in the hills of Beverly Crest, features an iconic cantilevered concrete triangle roofline. And it is the near definition of mid-century minimalistic design. Curbed LA notes the home features transparent sinks, built-in furniture, windows that look into the pool, and striking and seamless views of Los Angeles . Oh - and we couldn't forget the nightclub (dubbed 'Club James' after the home's owner, James Goldstein).
NPR recently aired a great interview with the home's current owner, eccentric real estate tycoon, James Goldstein. It's definitely worth the listen.
